How to sell
Est-Ouest Auctions always welcomes consignments. Our specialists from every category will correspond with you. We can provide reliable estimate price considering international art market, searching through our database and global network. We prepare catalogues, which include all items to be auctioned three weeks prior to the auction and dispatch many of them to overseas customers as well as domestic customers. Also we implement global sales by placing information of our auctions in art magazines around the world.
Please let us know as much information as possible including artist's name, conditions of work, dimensions, with or without certificate. Our experienced specialists in each category will respond quickly to any enquiries by telephone, e-mail, enquire form, photos and materials.
Evaluation Application Form
According to the information consigners give to us, we will provisionally estimate the work. In addition, we suggest appropriate methods and conditions to sell at our auction.
Send works to us
For precise estimate, we need to have the actual work. Please send the work by post or bring in with you. After researching the conditions and provenance, we will let you know more precise estimate price.
Based on the provisional estimate price, we consult with you about more precise estimate price and reserve price (confidential minimum price the consigner will accept). On agreement of commission and miscellaneous expenses, consigners will sell items at our auction. We arrange certificate on behalf of consigners if the work needs to be authenticated by the experts.

Catalogue and Auction
We prepare catalogues, which include all items to be auctioned three weeks prior to the auction and dispatch many of them to overseas customers as well as domestic customers. Our auction is performed live and open to the public. The auctioneer accepts bids from those present in the saleroom, from telephone bidders, or by absentee bids left with Est-Ouest Auctions in advance of the auction. Consigners will receive a copy of complementary catalogue.
During the period of 10 business days (not including Saturday, Sunday and public holidays of Japan) after the end of the auction (the final date of auction if held for consecutive days), Est-Ouest would continue to sell the unsold property at the minimum price according to the above terms.
In 50 days after the sale, we provide payment of the amount subtracting miscellaneous expenses from the hammer price.
